Calendar Sync

See your homestead on your phone's calendar

Your EveryHomestead calendar is a private link you subscribe to — tasks with due dates, upcoming harvest windows, and animal due dates all show up alongside your regular calendar. It's read-only and updates automatically.

This is a Plus feature. Open Settings → Household to get your private calendar link.

iPhone / Apple Calendar

  1. 1Go to Settings → Household and tap Add to Apple Calendar.
  2. 2Your iPhone will ask "Subscribe to Calendar?" — tap Subscribe.
  3. 3The calendar appears in the Apple Calendar app. New events show up within a few hours as Apple refreshes it automatically.
⚠️ Make sure you tap Add to Apple Calendardirectly from your iPhone. The link opens the Apple Calendar app — it won't work from a desktop browser.

Google Calendar

  1. 1Tap Add to Google Calendar. This opens Google Calendar in your browser.
  2. 2Google shows a confirmation — tap Add calendar.
  3. 3The calendar appears under "Other calendars" in Google Calendar. It may take up to a day for new items to appear — Google refreshes subscribed calendars on its own schedule, which is slower than Apple's.

What shows up?

Tasks with a due date — any task you give a due date appears as a one-day event. Open tasks only; completed tasks are hidden.

Harvest windows — your orchard trees show a multi-day event spanning each harvest month. Garden plantings with an estimated harvest date appear as a single-day event.

Animal due dates — estimated lambing and farrowing dates, plus medication withdrawal-end reminders.

How to stop

iPhone: Open the Calendar app → tap Calendars at the bottom → find EveryHomestead → tap the info icon → Delete Calendar.

Google: In Google Calendar, find EveryHomestead under "Other calendars" → tap the three-dot menu → Unsubscribe.

Get a new link

In Settings → Household, tap Get a new link. Your old link stops working immediately. You'll need to re-subscribe on each device using the new link — delete the old calendar first, then subscribe again.
